Responsibilities for the Sales Manager UAE job

About the role

The role will contribute to the implementation of the Sales and Marketing strategy in Middle East by working on both direct and indirect sales.

  • Develop a structured approach, including operational plans, to address the market (sectors, types of companies) and discuss it with the Middle East management team
  • Open, develop and retain relationships with our direct and indirect sales channel partners in UAE which are active in the industry, in particular oil and gas, chemistry and power generation
  • Engage in prospecting, perform in-person presentations and on-site demos, help facilitate RFPs and close accounts
  • Overseeing all aspects of business operations, incl. maintaining budget, sales goals and general targets
  • Keep up to date with competition in the sales area and prepare market analysis. Generate regular progress reports and review them with the Middle East management team.
  • Evaluate, organize and attend conferences and exhibitions in support with our indirect sales partners. Organize seminaries in the territory.
  • Create and maintain customer information in CRM tools, track and ensure sales process according defined sale pipelines
  • Prepare offers and ensure completion of general sales administration

    Your profile

  • Bsc or MSc Engineering degree (Technical / Instrumentation / Mechanical) or similar background
  • Further education in Sales & Marketing would be preferred
  • Working experience in Oil & Gas or a good understanding of the Oil & Gas and refineries, Chemistry and/or Power Plants sectors
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in an SMB , or start-up environment, selling of CAPEX equipment
  • Experience working with or selling Non Destructive Testing (NDT) or similar goods like measuring devices
  • Proven track records in Sales and Business Development, including managing indirect sales channels in the target industries
  • Leading skills, ability to lead, inspire and motivate our indirect sales channel partner, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
  • Proven ability to work under pressure including the ability to cope with deadlines, multiple tasks, and competing demands
  • Ability to approach different client levels, doing presentations and making on-site technical demos and training's. Persuasive and at ease in developing trust and negotiations
  • Enthusiastic about promoting, Safety and Environment protection solutions
  • Fluent in English (verbal and writing), Arabic would be a strong plus
  • Good computer skills, familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Willingness to travel (up to 60%)
