Responsibilities for the Finance Manager job

About the role

In this role you will have the opportunity to take a next step in your career and further develop the finance processes of a growing organization. While working together with the CFO and the management team, your role will be key to ensure a solid foundation for Distran`s next development phase. You will be supported by and manage the daily work of Finance Assistant and you will:

  • Lead the bookkeeping of Distran AG (inhouse) and of foreign subsidiaries (inhouse and outsourced), including of managing the receivables and payables
  • Responsible for the quarterly closing and financial reporting, including the consolidation (under SCO) and preparing the investor reporting
  • Prepare the VAT and direct tax return (Switzerland), and ensure that the company complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare and enhance the bi-weekly cashflow forecast, management reporting and other ad-hoc analysis and forecasts
  • Act as the main contact for banks, insurances, local accountants and auditors
  • Improve and automate finance and business processes (incl. internal controls)
  • Support implementation of a new ERP system
  • Support other ad-hoc Finance tasks as and when required

    • Requirements for the Finance Manager job

    Your profile

  • University or equivalent degree in Business Administration or Finance
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior accountant/controller or auditor (CPA track) (big plus: previous job in an hardware manufacturing company)
  • Solid expertise in accounting, financial closing and VAT
  • Sound ERP experience and excellent Excel-skills (plus: Get & Transform and Power Pivot)
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Reliable, well-organized, independent and proactive
