Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager Composite, Europe job

About the role

This role offers a sales professional interested in the application of innovative technology the opportunity to influence and grow the development of the Composite European marketing and sales strategy and implementation for Europe at Distran. The role covers the direct sales management for composite industries and will work directly with the Head of Sales, the Europe Territory Manager and marketing and customer training teams.

  • Assess market potential in Europe and develop a structured approach, including operational plans to address the composite market and align with the company's management
  • Manage the subscription business model for customers in Europe
  • Open, develop and retain relationships with key accounts in composite industries
  • Engage in prospecting, perform in-person presentations and on-site demos, help facilitate RFPs, and close accounts
  • Keep up to date with competition in the sales area and prepare market analysis
  • Generate regular progress reports for upper management
  • Evaluate, organize and attend conferences and exhibitions in the industry

    Your profile

  • Bsc or MSc in Engineering (Technical/Instrumentation/Mechanical) or similar, with further education in sales and marketing preferred
  • Sales professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position in an SMB or start-up selling NDT equipment or similar instrumentation, or software
  • Knowledge of composite inspections and ultrasonic inspection methods is a plus
  • Ability to approach different client levels, able to build relationships and to develop trust in negotiations
  • Self-starter, autonomous
  • Fluent in English (verbal and writing), other European languages are a plus
  • Good computer skills, familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Legal right to work in travel in EFTA / EU countries. Willingness to travel in Europe (at least 50%).
