Responsibilities for the EU Account Manager, Europe job

About the role

  • Work together with the Territory Manager Europe to implement the European marketing strategy and the go-to-market plan for the assigned territory
  • Assist Territory Manager to co-ordinate sales in assigned territory and to directly open and develop key accounts
  • Take over and retain relationships with assigned accounts independently when and as agreed with Territory Manager
  • Assist with the evaluation of sales opportunities for establishing a distribution network
  • Implement distributor agreements when required
  • Ensure the training of distributors
  • Establish performance targets and visit customers with the distributors to establish the customer-distributor relationship
  • Evaluate, organize and attend conferences and exhibitions in the assigned area
  • Keep up to date with competition in the sales area and prepare market analysis. Provide regular progress reports and plans for development.
  • Create and maintain customer information in CRM tools, track and ensure sales process according defined sale pipelines
  • Assist Territory Manager to prepare the customer offers and assist in general sales administration

    Your profile

  • Bsc or MSc Engineering degree (Technical / Instrumentation / Mechanical) or similar background with further education in Sales & Marketing preferred
  • Working experience in Oil & Gas preferably, exposure to Chemistry and/or Power Plants is an advantage
  • At least 1- 2 years’ experience working with distribution channels in a similar position in an SMB , or start-up environment, selling of CAPEX equipment, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) or similar goods like measuring devices
  • Proven ability to work under pressure including the ability to cope with deadlines, multiple tasks and competing demands
  • Entrepreneurial “get the job done” mindset, ability to multi-task
  • Enthusiastic about promoting Safety and Environment protection solutions
  • Fluent in English (verbal and writing), other European languages are a plus
  • Good computer skills, familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% within Europe / assigned territory
  • Legal right to work and travel in EU and EFTA countries
  • Driving license
